Are you ready to be part of a forward thinking YMCA with a dynamic and compassionate staff and volunteer team?

Provide leadership on all marketing and promotion efforts of the Southington-Cheshire Community YMCAs resulting in increased membership and programs throughout the association. Cultivate relationships to further the YMCA mission and increase program participation and member involvement in YMCA activities. Uphold and promote the YMCA philosophy and values.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Develop and lead all branch and association advertising and marketing campaigns
  • Distribution of marketing and promotional materials to the community
  • Articulate the value of the YMCA to the greater communities of Southington and Cheshire
  • Attend health fairs and other community events to promote the YMCA
  • Coordinate press releases from YMCA staff to the press
  • Create marketing and promotional materials that help sell the YMCA experience and value
  • Act as a liaison to local and state wide press/ media and other community organizations
  • Develop and co-lead the association corporate membership program
  • Lead/train staff on marketing for programs and initiatives
  • Integrate Search Engine Optimization strategies to maximize on-line presence
  • Assist in the development of the quarterly YMCA Program Guide
  • Work with supervisor creating and maintaining an annual marketing budget
  • Act as YMCA Branding Ambassador to assure brand compliance across the association
  • Manage digital marketing: on-line, mobile, social media, email, search engine, digital copy and other
  • Participate in various YMCA committees and community/civic groups
Educational Background: 
The qualified candidate should have a four-year college degree in marketing or a related field
Skills/Experience: 

Should fulfill the following requirements:

  • Experience in marketing and promotion of programs and services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience leading sales and informational presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design
  • Graphic design skills (e.g. flyers, brochures, videos)
  • Excels in social media/on-line marketing (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, Instagram)
  • Experience in video creation and editing
  • Proficient in SEO and web analytics
  • Able to work independently and efficiently
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $52,000.00 - $55,000.00
