The YMCA of Middle TN is searching for a cause-driven leader to serve as Data Entry Specialist in beautiful Nashville, TN!

Consistent with the Christian mission and vision of the YMCA of Middle TN, and in cooperation with other YMCA staff, under the direction of the Raiser’s Edge Database Administrator and the Executive Director of Annual Giving, the Data Entry Specialist is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of philanthropic gifts and receipts and for maintaining the health of the donor database and the integrity and confidentiality of donor information. This position is directly responsible for the utilization, oversight and advancement of the constituent relationship management database, data management, and analytics.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Supports the YMCA mission and models the YMCA core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility
  • Models and puts into practice behavior that supports inclusion and diversity
  • Ensures that all systems and processes used for data collection are consistent with the YMCA’s data security policies
  • Ensures the quality, integrity and accuracy of all donor information and gifts entered into Raiser’s Edge
  • Works with Association Philanthropy team, Center Development staff, Major Gift Officers, and other gift solicitors to make sure all gifts are entered and receipted properly
  • Generates and analyzes ad hoc reports, customized queries, exports, and mailing lists for multiple centers
  • Stays up to date regarding new technology development or software changes/features in Raiser’s Edge and other philanthropy-related software systems
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with software utilization
Skills/Experience: 
  • Passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the mission and cause of the YMCA
  • An enthusiastic personality with the desire to serve members, volunteers, guests, participants and staff to create a culture of service within our Centers
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
  • Must present a professional image and possess conflict resolution skills, and demonstrate sound judgment and initiative
  • Must be detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality of information
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other software programs, as well as the ability to use most office equipment is required
  • Experience working with Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge software preferred
  • Raiser’s Edge certification a plus
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Financial development experience preferred
  • Multilingual a plus
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $16.81 - $20.17
