Would you like to provide excellent front-line customer service representing the YMCA’s Financial Development department? As the Date Management Specialist, you will be responsible for processing gifts, donor acknowledgments, and various financial reports in Raiser’s Edge.

Areas of Responsibility: 

Administration:

  • Serves as the staff liaison with the Finance/Accounting department. Manages month-end gift reconciliation and reporting.
  • Serves as the front line customer service representative for the Financial Development team to include responding to donors, funders, volunteers and staff in the branches.
  • Assists the Director of Grants and Foundation Relations in extracting data and creating reports necessary for grant submissions and compliance.
  • Provides support for the management of the donor database through data input and regular audits to ensure the integrity of the data.
  • Assists in gift processing during high volume periods.
  • Manages all donor pledge reminders and internal reports to ensure timely pledge collection.
  • Performs all functions with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Assumes additional administrative support responsibilities and performs special projects as needed or directed, including for the Executive Director of Philanthropy, and also with Association capital campaign projects.

Moves Management and Reporting:

  • Assists in the creation of donor reports and donor profiles. Develops additional reports and lists in response to the needs of the Financial Development team and Branches.
  • Supports fundraising activities including creating and running queries and reports in Raiser’s Edge to send mailings, plan events, and report on an event’s progress.
  • Runs standard and custom donor gift reports.
  • Logs prospect and donor news, communication and information into Raiser’s Edge, including obituaries, news articles, awards, etc.
  • Updates biographical data in Raiser’s Edge as necessary and share with assigned staff.
Skills/Experience: 
  • You have previous customer service, sales or related experience.
  • You have previous database entry experience. Raiser’s Edge experience desired.
  • You have a working knowledge of general office equipment.
  • You have previous cash handling experience.
  • You have advanced Excel and Microsoft experience, strongly preferred.
  • You have demonstrated skills in customer service, public relations, and organization.
  • You have previous experience working with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills.
