The YMCA of Greater New York is here for all New Yorkers — to empower youth, improve health, and strengthen community.
Set in a three-acre urban forest, the Northeast Bronx YMCA will meld the indoor and the outdoor in order to connect members to the natural environment and will offer a range of programs serving youth and teens to older adults, including healthy lifestyles, civic engagemet programming for youth, swimming instructional classes and social, recreational, and health programming for older adults. In addition, the environmentally friendly, standalone facility will include an urban agricultural roof and a teaching kitchen, as well as protected outdoor play and program space for enhanced camp and afterschool programs.
