The YMCA of San Francisco seeks a uniquely qualfied candidate to coordinate centralized efforts to provide support for our 14 branches.

Under the direction and supervision of the IT Executive, the Senior Director of Business Resource Center will coordinate centralized efforts to provide support for our 14 branches, as well as support within Operations, Development, Health Initiatives, Training and IT within the association office. This role will oversee both the Business Services Team and the Audit Team within the Business Resource Center.

This position manages relationships with both staff and members, manages/improves/leads the various system trainings, and provides recommendations for operational efforts related to membership, operations, and business resource center in accordance with the purpose and policies of the Association.

This role will be responsible for data integrity, internal accounting controls, and compliance. This role will also be responsible for accounts receivables, processing credit card payments, entering YMCA programs in system, and various other BRC responsibilities.

This position works in collaboration with the branch Executive Directors, Membership Directors, Program Directors and any other leadership to provide the necessary training, project management, and guidance in the above-named areas with regards to all accounts and any other business resource center functions assigned to this position.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Lead branches and departments in defining their ideas or needs to establish an initial project scope for potential system/program solution.
  • Obtain cost estimates for alternative solutions per scope definition.
  • Assists Chiefs, Officers, VPs and project owners in making business case justification and timely budgetary plan for system/program development or implementation.
  • Lead key workgroups to streamline workflow and processes in the conduct of branch and Association workflows in the future use of selected system or enhancements to existing system.
  • Design and routinely provide oversight and transparency for key metrics and indicators around operations, financials, sustainability, and the strategic plan impact of the BRC.
  • Implantation of Association wide initiatives such as Salesforce Pardot, MobileFit, Alaris, BRC Ticketing system, Microsoft Teams, etc.
  • Oversees branch operations audit and Audit team per Policy and SOP annually or as directed by CFO or COO, including providing feedback and solutions to current issues.
  • Conduct annual internal auditing of Accounting and IT system Policy and SOP per branch.
  • Support the relationships with members, participants, donors, and our staff through the centralized efforts of the Business Resource Center.
  • Report and communicate to the IT Executive all issues that arise affecting operational functions: i.e.: credit card issues, IT issues, issues that affect the Association financially, etc.
  • Manage projects as assigned by supervisor that help provide operational support for the YMCA of San Francisco.
  • Collaborate with IT and Operations teams to support relevant organizational changes or projects rolling out to the YMCA of San Francisco.
  • Manage the association systems training by organizing the trainings, assigning trainers, reviewing feedback and implementing necessary changes, and helping to train new trainers.
  • Facilitate association-wide program entry days for Child Care, Summer Camp, and any other relevant branch programming.
  • Maintain relationships with contacts with 3rd party vendors to ensure the requests of our association are being heard and appropriately prioritized, including Product Development and Engineers to influence the software changes to be aligned with our organization’s best interests.
  • Assess and research opportunities with new/exist vendors as needs are determined by our association.
  • Advocate for new ideas and systematic improvements within YMCA Operations system
  • Provide insight for additional Standard Operating Procedure proposals as the need arises.
  • Support business resource center functions on as needed basis where possible.
  • Hire, develop, and manage staff
  • Submit budget and update forecast for department
  • Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
  • Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management.
  • Demonstrate the Character Counts values of caring, respect, honesty and responsibility in all dealings with members, guests, volunteers and fellow staff.
  • All other duties as assigned by this position’s supervisor.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in related field required.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five or more years of related experience in a service and/or office environment required.
  • Three or more years in YMCA or social services non-profits
  • Three or more years of experience working in membership organization
  • Three of more years of management experience reporting directly to senior management
  • Three or more years of experience managing a team consisting of 5 or more direct staff
  • Experience in managing department budget of over $100k
  • Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds.
  • Compliance experience with PCI, HIPAA, and Medicare preferred.

Specialized Skills:

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Advanced knowledge of computers and operating systems.
  • Ability to lead others without direct supervision.
  • Excellent organizational, and communication skills.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $61,000.00 - $83,000.00
