The Associate, Corps Member Hiring (ACMH) is chiefly responsible for ensuring all incoming corps members are prepared to secure a teaching position in one of our many partner schools. To do this, the ACMH will engage directly with corps members to provide preparation and development so that they are “hire-ready;” lead the operations and strategy of hiring events to ensure strong matches are made between schools and corps members; support the director with a portfolio of school partners; and manage the budget of your sub-team. The Associate, Corps Member Hiring sits on the Public Affairs and Communications Team and reports directly to the Director of District and School Partnerships. The ideal candidate enjoys working in teams and cross-functionally, builds strong relationships, and has exceptional verbal and written communication skills. They have a strong customer-service orientation, exceptional organizational ability, and project management skills.
Corps Member Hiring Readiness and Operations (35%)
- Act as primary communicator with incoming corps members specific to all hiring matters
- Create trainings, resource banks and experiences that will prepare incoming corps members to interview at prospective school sites
- Manage incoming corps members toward all “hire-ready” tasks (i.e. resume, short answers, video platforms)
- Partner with the Manager, Incoming Corps Members on communications strategy and onboarding resource deployment, tracking and data management
- Partner with the Manager, Incoming Corps Members on cross-functional data and systems tracking to ensure incoming corps member readiness
Hiring Event Management (35%)
- Develop project plans and strategy for all operations of hiring events including managing the acquisition of space, food, and technology, as well as travel and lodging for any non-local participants and the internal and external communications with corps members and partners
- Partner with the Director, District and School Partnerships to develop the strategy and approach to corps member and school partnership matches that lead to strong retention and efficacy outcomes
- Track, analyze and monitor incoming corps member retention share trends with your team to influence strategy
- Work closely with the Director, District and School Partnerships to identify trends in corps member placement and pipelines that enable highest impact while supporting with the administration and tracking of partnership agreements, documentation, and invoicing
School Portfolio Management and Support (10%)
- Operationalize partner communications via efficient tracking systems and structures that transparently shares data across the regional teams
- Partner with the Director, District and School Partnerships to support and potentially directly manage a portfolio of school partners towards corps member hiring timelines, professional service agreement signing and payment for placement
Finance and Budgeting (10%)
- Partner with the Director, District and School Partnerships in the creation of budget for all corps member hiring needs
- Track spending of sub-team budget toward financial compliance goals
- Manage the invoicing and cash collection from school/district partners in alignment with professional services agreements
Region-wide and Organization-wide Responsibilities (10%)

- Minimum of 3 years of experience strongly preferred
- Previous experience as a Teach For America corps member strongly preferred
- Knowledge of MS Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel required

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and juggle several projects at once with a spirit of flexibility and positive outlook
- Ability to manage large amounts of data in excel and analyze and highlight trends when necessary
