The Gateway Region YMCA is looking for a motivated and energetic individual to fill the role of the Eastern District Vice President.

The Gateway Region YMCA has an immediate opening for a Cause-Driven leader to provide strategic leadership to our East District. Our overarching goal will be to develop a highly engaged team culture to meet the emerging needs in the region. Areas of Responsibility: 

Under the guidance of the Executive Vice President and COO, this position will be responsible for $10M in budgeted revenue, developing growth strategies and the overall continuous improvement of the Y experience. The primary responsibilities are to provide executive leadership, implement the strategic plan and expand the Ys impact in the region. The key deliverables include executing capital fund development ($5.2M), grow the annual campaign ($400K), increase volunteerism and improve the membership experience. Emphasis will be placed on previous experience developing a membership centric culture, revenue growth trends and the ability to inspire others towards exceeding expectations. The successful candidate will need to develop strong relationships with Branch Executives and other key support staff.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Master’s Degree preferred but not required
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience: YUSA Multi-Team Leader Status (Organizational Leader preferred)
  • Multi- branch with combined budget of $2.5M or greater
  • Three or more years of executive experience in a nonprofit

  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communication and writing skills
  • Possess a high level of organizational knowledge, experience and proficiency
  • Articulate communication skills relating to membership and branch leadership
  • Ability to successfully lead, recruit and develop staff and volunteers of all levels
  • Possess and demonstrate commitment and passion for mission-centered objectives
  • Master the art of influence and relationship building with diverse stakeholders
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking and change capacity
