The YMCA of Snohomish County is looking for an Executive Director for the Mill Creek Family YMCA, a thriving Y with a 44,000 square foot, full facility with over 10,000 members, off site early childhood center, 7 before and after school child care sites and an outdoor day camp site. More than 200 employees (full and part time); 2019 annual operating budget $7M.

Weneed someone with six or more years of progressive leadership experience. Overall budget responsibilitiesare $4M+. Proven track record in membership development and member retention required. Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations. Knowledge and previous experience needed in working with diverse populations. Areas of Responsibility: 

The Executive Director will be responsible for the total operation of the Mill Creek branch, including board development, fiscal management, membership growth and retention, marketing, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, financial development, community relations, and collaborations.

Must be able to engage, inspire, and build commitment to the Y cause with volunteers, members, and staff. Demonstrated track record in financial management that sustains the Y’s nonprofit business model while maximizing growth potential. Provide dynamic leadership that drives a strong commitment to achieving goals in a manner that delivers a consistent cause-driven experience. Recognizes and acts on the need to continually develop others’ capabilities to attain the highest level of performance possible. Demonstrate in word and action the Y’s core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and a commitment to the Y’s mission, in all matters at all times.

Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, business or equivalent experience preferred
Skills/Experience: 
  • Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development
  • Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders
  • Proven track record of developing authentic relationships with others
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
  • Experience working with individuals, families and communities of diverse backgrounds and abilities

  • Strong computer skills and experience with standard business software
  • Strong professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in second language desired
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $98,520.00
