Oversees the tools (technological resources) that support the security and preparedness, which is a seamless technology extension and includes customer relationships, vendor management, strategy, roadmap, execution, and operations
Areas of Responsibility:
Manages and administers tools that support security and preparedness
- Employee preparedness/safety smartphone application) (LiveSafe
- Emergency notification systems (ENS) (Everbridge and Alertus)
- Business Continuity Planning Software (Catalyst)
- Satellite phone contingency program (Satellite Phones)
- Geospatial analysis tools (Google Earth, ArcGIS)
- Automated intelligence gathering and dissemination resources (NC4)
- Business traveler advisories and disruptions (Travel Inc./People Track Assist)
- Security monitoring, surveillance, and access control systems (Genetec, CCure, Kastle, Datawatch, D3)
For each of the tools listed above, the position is responsible for the following:
- Oversee the technology implementation strategy, roadmap, and enhancement of end-user experience
- Ensure that tools meet the business’ desired goals and objectives
- Develop and maintain tool policies and processes
- Manage awareness and communications strategies to promote the tools
- Develop and facilitate training to system administrators and end-users
- Vendor management, budgeting, and invoicing
- System maintenance and testing
- Continuous improvement
- Conduct market/industry research and develop business cases for new technological enhancements that cut costs, improve efficiencies, and/or reduce risks
Perform other duties, as assigned
Educational Background:
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Risk Management, or a related field
Skills/Experience:
- At least 10 years of experience working in security operations, technology, risk management, or business continuity programs. Business continuity, risk management, physical security, and/or emergency management-related experience and certifications are a desired plus.
- Highly computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Office products.
- Adept at implementing and maintaining the full lifecycle of technology and applications.
- Ability to work independently and within a team, meet deadlines, and be detailed oriented.
- Have strong interpersonal and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, with a positive, high-energy attitude.
- Ability to perceive and analyze problems and a capacity to recommend and implement sound decisions.
- Forward thinker, with the ability to implement tools while forecasting future needs of the organization.
- Occasional travel.
