The YMCA of Northern Colorado is seeking someone who is part teacher, part guardian, part administrative phenom and part programmatic innovator. That's a whole lot of parts! But our new Senior Program Director of Early Childhood Learning must be a lot of things to a lot of people. They must be a mentor and educator to the hundreds of children they will oversee, they must be a communicator and trustee for the parents of those children, and they must be a responsible administrator, budgeting ace and management expert for the good of their employees, co-workers and supervisors.

Our Senior Program Director of Early Childhood Learning assumes responsibility for the management and operations of our fast-growing, ever-expanding preschool programs. This position is responsible for leading the development and implementation of preschool programming, curriculum, and education at multiple locations, providing leadership for staff, developing program operating procedures and standards while ensuring financial sustainability.
- Must be Director qualified by the State of Colorado Department of Human Services Child Care division.
- Minimum 2 years' experience working with Preschool aged/Kindergarten aged children in a supervisory role
- Minimum age requirements of 21
- Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include completion of: Child Abuse Prevention for Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR; First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens.
- Ability to work with a wide range of age groups, demographics and have ability to collaborate well with a number of groups and individuals
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Experience in multiple site management, understanding of child development principals and developmentally appropriate practices, understanding of state licensed program, as well as experience with fiscal management and staff development.
- Ability to meet YMCA driver requirements.
- Ability and desire to embrace the mission of the YMCA.
- Experience with Colorado Shines and Creative Curriculum are a plus!
Salary Range: $43,000-50,000 Position will remain open until filled.
