The YMCA of Fulton County in beautiful upstate New York is seeking an organized, detail-oriented and personable professional to serve as a member of the senior leadership team, providing strategic leadership in financial development to advance the YMCA’s mission. Responsible for all facets of financial record keeping and control. Assists the CEO in positioning the YMCA as a “charity of choice” for the investment of donations within the local community.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated accounting experience in complex organizations. Payroll, AP/AR, month-end and year-end closing processes, and in general applying GAAP to financial recording keeping for the organization.
- Eight or more years of professional experience with a background in accounting and HR in the YMCA or another not-for-profit preferred.
- Ability to relate well to others and function with a team.
- Advanced understanding of computers is required. Must be well organized and a self-starter.
- YMCA or non-profit experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple concurrent tasks and deadlines is essential along with the ability to effectively supervise staff.
- Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills needed.
- Organizational problem-solving, creative and critical thinking skills are mandatory.
- The successful candidate will have substantial business awareness and can glean and interpret data.
- Advanced proficiency in computers required and must have the ability to adapt to new software and systems.
