Under the direction of the District Vice President, the Branch Director is responsible for the direct administration and operation of the West Chatham YMCA and the West Chatham YMCA Child Learning Center in accordance with its general policies and bylaws of the branch and the Association.

In addition, every position in the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc is responsible for upholding the Judeo-Christian principles that are central to our mission by modeling behaviors that exemplify the four pillars of character - caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

The Branch Director is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the branch. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning to assign and directing work; appraising performance; reward and discipline employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • The Branch Director is responsible for the overall operation of the branch. The Branch Director will oversee all Board and Volunteer development, staff leadership, financial development, programming and community relations. The Branch Director will:
  • Recruit and oversee staff within the operational needs of the various program areas.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of the branch budget.
  • Develop and manage the operating budget, control expenses, and make adjustments as needed
  • Oversee and conduct protocols to ensure a successful Annual Fund Campaign
  • Engage community leaders to develop and foster partnerships within the community.
  • Work in partnership with the Association staff and volunteers in the development and execution of the Association Strategic Plan
  • Be responsible for maintaining the overall operation of the facility.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The Branch Director will operate under normal YMCA conditions. Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $58,000.00 - $68,000.00
