350.org is looking for a digital organizer to support the development of our work in the Pacific.
The Pacific Digital Organizer will help in developing the Pacific Climate Warriors network as well as our campaigns, in pursuit of our goal to keep fossil fuels in the ground and work towards climate justice. The Pacific Digital Organizer will work with our Pacific Campaign Specialist and Pacific Organizer. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working both independently and in teams, highly responsive, and able to lead initiatives as well as take direction from others.
Skills/Experience:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills, with fluency in English (knowledge of other languages is a bonus). Ability to write for a variety of audiences and platforms.
- Experience with using social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram for organizing purposes
- Basic graphic design skills and familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud, GIMP, Inkscape, or any other design tool
- Highly organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- A resilient and flexible team player who is a fast learner
- Experience working in fast-paced, high pressure, highly collaborative team culture
- Efficient time and workload management skills
Desired (but not required) skills and experiences
- Experience with principled digital storytelling for justice-based campaigns
- Experience using Wordpress, ActionKit, and Action Network
- Expertise in website development and graphic design
- Experience with professional photography or video production
- Ability to maintain a healthy work/life balance in fast-paced, high pressure working environments.
