The Gateway Region YMCA is seeking an energetic and motivated candidate to fill the position of Association Maintenance Technician.

This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the direct supervision of the Property Manager and/or the Maintenance Supervisor, this role is responsible for carrying out all assigned daily work orders toward the general carpentry maintenance and repairs of all facilities and property of the Gateway Region YMCA. This position will also be responsible for completion of assigned building projects and other duties as needed.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Responsible for completion of work orders as assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Responsible for association carpentry repairs, servicing, inspections
  • Performs any other manual labor tasks assigned by supervisor.
  • Responsible for association painting, and floor refinishing.
  • All other duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
High School Diploma AND Technical Training in Carpentry, Building Maintenance, or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong knowledge, Solid Skills and 3 years’ experience in at least three of the following fields: Carpentry, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, Painting of floors or other surfaces, Floor refinishing, Vehicle Maintenance, Machinery, Grounds Keeping, Trouble Shooting Heavy Equipment and/or Equipment Maintenance. Proficient in soldering, brazing, and refrigerant controls.
