This position developed out of the recommendation from the Email Work Group and is necessary to drive the implementation of the Email standards for the Association including the ongoing training and guidance of the email policies and procedures.

This position may be remote/work from home, or reside in the Alzheimer’s Association headquarters in Chicago, IL

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Execute the recommendations from the Email Work Group  
  • Work with IT on data transfer from other tools, work with home office staff on updated trainings and stationery needs  
  • Lead and coordinate meetings and communicate recommendations on the standards to home and field office staff  
  • Assist long term with staff onboarding and trainings and field email needs  
  • Facilitate cross-functional communication between chapters and home office regarding email policies and best practices

  • Experience leading project teams with multiple stakeholders  
  • Ability to interpret and apply relevant findings from participant and donor data, market research and industry trends to inform strategies for growth 
  • Knowledge of digital marketing best practices, strategies, technologies, processes and systems.   
  • Ability to communicate with staff, vendors, and volunteers to provide strategic guidance in a collaborative, consultative, and positive manner  
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skills  
  • Ability to build consensus and to work with others to achieve desired results and objectives  
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience  
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience leading project teams  
  • Experience with Luminate Online or other email deployment and platforms  
  • CRM experience  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills  
  • Excellent teamwork skills  
  • Strong understanding of peer-to-peer fundraising  
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:  

  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with various stakeholders: chapter staff and volunteers, care providers, researchers, policy makers, and Association leadership  
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and adjust work plan to accommodate opportunities to collaborate, particularly in a remote work environment   
  • Ability to think strategically and determine long-term implications of decisions  
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and propose solutions which support the Association’s mission and vision  
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
