By creating opportunities for the YMCA to serve the community through the delivery of School Age Child Care and Early Learning, the School Partnership Director will be improving overall development and ensuring future success of children. You will be joining one of the largest YMCAs in the country, serving over 200,000 members in six counties, with 17 branches, 83 SACC sites and 13 Early Learning Centers. The School Partnerships Director (SPD) is an exciting new role focused on generating new business relationships and expanding existing business partnerships within the GPY service areas covering six counties. This role provides a unique opportunity for the right person to help define our approach to marketing and selling education services. The ideal candidate has a strong capacity to cultivate relationships and partnerships with businesses, school system leadership, stakeholders and the childcare external ecosystem at large.
- Identify and develop potential new opportunities to deliver important extended day learning (before and after school) and child care opportunities, particularly through working with leadership levels at School Districts and other educational organizations, as well as other community partners.
- Own the GPY Childcare sales cycle for the entire organization, from target and prospect identification through to contract close, collaborating with others in the organization as appropriate
- Work with internal staff and external partners to identify attractive targets and prospects for Childcare sales
- Work with Marketing and Operations to develop and implement a plan for generating leads via targeted marketing campaigns, current customer referrals, relevant conferences, etc.
- Develop - and manage to - a sales plan that focuses on attractive targets and meets revenue and profit goals
- Lead the development of proposals and RFP responses, in collaboration with the Marketing/Proposals team
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Special Education Directors, Public School District leadership, School Boards, community leaders, and other influential constituents
- Be a core part of the Childcare team, helping to define our approach to Childcare Services sales and business development
- Ability to work remotely and travel locally 75% of the time (mileage is reimbursed)
- Proven business development and sales skills
- Strong knowledge and understanding of education, and a passion for it preferred (or a quick learner)
- At least eight years of related experience (in sales and/or education)
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills
Salary: $52,120.00 - $69,410.00
