The purpose of the Director of Evaluation and Quality Improvement is to establish a transparent and inclusive quality improvement process for the entire Greater Philadelphia YMCA Association. The Director of Evaluation and Quality Improvement will report to the Sr. Director of Safety and Risk Management. This position is responsible for the monitoring of risk programs and compliance specifically focussed on Child Protection policies and regulations. To support the ongoing development of quality systems, procedures and controls to ensure that child care services consistently exceed performance and quality. As well as providing support to processing and record keeping of documentation relevant to Child Protection.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Coordinate and support workplace health and safety requirements and compliance as per Pennsylvania Department of Human Services and New Jersey Department of Children and Families. Respond to incidents of non-compliance by supporting staff in development and implementation of appropriate corrective action plans
  • Promote continuous quality and performance improvement across the organization by developing and analyzing performance data, maintaining quality assurance objectives and coordinating audit processes.
  • Conduct site audits for compliance utilizing a variety of evidence-based tools.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are accurately maintained and organized
  • Champion quality improvement initiatives throughout the association using a data-driven focus that sets priorities aligned to strategic objectives and compliance standards
  • Develops measurable program indicators to track progress toward achieving program goals
  • Assist with training staff in required state and association internal safety and quality assurance programs
  • Maintain and monitor compliance for association Child Protection while keeping abreast of any new/updated rules/regulations.
  • Maintain all Child Protection policies for the association including annual review and implementation including utilization of the Praesidium Know Your Score platform
  • Participate in development and implementation of monitoring systems for the association
  • Participates in staff meetings, professional development activities, and association functions
  • Self manages ongoing professional development
  • Assumes related responsibilities as required and assigned
  • Report to the Senior Director of Safety/Risk Management the results of audits around compliance and develop management reports that can be shared with senior management
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in business, education, risk management or equivalent
Skills/Experience: 
  • 6-8 years’ experience in Child Protection
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Current knowledge and understanding of regulations, industry trends, current practices, new developments, and applicable laws regarding Child Protection.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to clearly communicate with all levels of staff, with diverse populations and personalities.
  • Ability to handle matters with discretion, confidentiality and empathy.
  • Successfully complete and maintain all required background checks acceptable Criminal Record Check
  • Maintain valid driver’s license
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $63,440.00 - $82,982.00
