As the senior arts director, you will build relationships, instill confidence, and provide opportunities for growth and improvement by overseeing the development and operations of arts programs for the branch.
As a team member, you will provide an impactful member experience by developing and maintaining extensive performing and visual arts programs, youth dance companies, arts staff, and program volunteers. You will provide leadership, support, and development for programming such as dance, musical theatre, music, digital media, culinary arts, and visual arts

Make great decisions:
- Lead development of arts programming, budget, scheduling and curriculum.
- Ensure that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
- Ensure high-quality member-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations and ongoing training of staff.
Provide quality results:
- Direct and produce annual dance recitals and Y Arts Week events.
- Curate visual arts exhibitions.
- May serve as artistic director for youth dance companies.
Collaborate:
- Support arts-related contributions to branch, association and community events.
- Support and/or lead parent arts committees as assigned.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the community.
Build Relationships:
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff and volunteers in assigned areas. Facilitate communication and provide leadership.
- Determine program offerings and staff scheduling needs to provide a safe and meaningful experience.
- Provide leadership and support to the Annual Campaign and volunteer committees/boards by telling the Y story and raising charitable dollars to fulfill our mission.
- You have ten or more years of related experience.
- You have extensive dance and/or visual arts education and the ability to teach participants of all levels and ages effectively.
- You have five years of theatrical production experience and/or experience curating visual arts exhibitions.
- You have an appreciation and passion for visual and performing arts.
- You can manage and develop staff and volunteer teams.
- You have the ability to direct programs through development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development, and fund-raising.
- You have current Lifeguard, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, First Aid, and Oxygen certifications.
Salary: $50,850.00
