The West Chester Area YMCA has an exciting leadership opportunity as a Senior Program Director to lead our Aquatic and Wellness departments.

The West Chester Area YMCA, an 80,000 square foot facility with a budget size of $7.8 million, serving over 21,000 members, is looking for an experienced YMCA professional to provide senior leadership for our Wellness and Aquatic departments.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The position will lead four direct reports in delivering exceptional member service, coordinating membership engagement initiatives and assisting members in accomplishing their healthy living goals. The incumbent will also oversee a large Aquatic Department featuring programming for three indoor pools and an on-site outdoor water park. We are currently seeking a candidate with a minimum of five years related experience to provide exemplary staff leadership with a commitment to creative and high-quality programming, proven success in budget and fiscal management and a strong commitment to member engagement.

Educational Background: 
A Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent preferred.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Five or more years of experience that includes supervising multiple departments.
  • Experience in a health and conditioning environment is essential. Ability to pass Ellis Lifeguarding Certification within first 90 days.
  • Superior relationship building skills, computer proficiency and excellent organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position. YMCA leadership experience preferred.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $55,000.00 - $58,000.00
