The Association seeks a values-oriented, seasoned professional with a successful track record in all functional areas of human resources management and who has aptitude to provide visionary and strategic human resources leadership. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of human resources management processes aligned with the achievement of organizational goals and objectives. S/he will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will think strategically and manage multiple priorities. This person should be able to articulate a vision, create consensus and develop a strong, professional human resources staff.
This individual will be articulate and passionate about the mission and will develop and build effective relationships with key constituencies across the organization and will be a convener. The successful candidate will have the interpersonal skills to influence superiors, peers, and subordinates to work collaboratively resulting in a dynamic and supportive work environment for all employees.
The successful candidate will be a human resources leader who has strong management skills and fiscal integrity including deep knowledge of financial accounting requirements for human resources operations in voluntary health/ federated organizations, nonprofit organizations or companies where creativity and diversity are components of a successful department. Empowering staff and ensuring that their ideas and suggestions are encouraged and respected are of the utmost importance.
The qualified candidate will bring exceptional employee relations and organizational development background and will be flexible and creative in his/her management style. S/he will be dedicated to providing exceptional service to others and be committed to producing outstanding results. Other valued traits are: emotional intelligence, creativity, a warm and fun personality, and a sense of humor.
Senior level human resources experience in a large, complex organizational system such as an organization or a service corporation comparable in size to the Association is preferred. Certification from the Society of Human Resources Management is desired.
