The Project Manager II will lead the planning, facilitation, tracking, and monitoring of strategic projects associated with Y-USA’s enterprise-wide operating plan. This position works with project teams and senior leadership to advance key initiatives that are closely associated with our strategic plan. The Project Manager II will direct interdisciplinary project teams to ensure projects are within the approved scope, quality, schedule, design, and cost constraints.
Plan and organize strategic projects, including but not limited to:
- Consult with project team and senior leadership to identify and document key objectives, activities, timelines, and responsibilities
- Create a project charter and project plan with clear objectives, activities, timelines, and defined roles and responsibilities
- Develop and distribute project team meeting agendas and documents
- Develop and reinforce document and knowledge management strategy for project team
- Kick off project teams with clear orientation to project charter, plan, and norms
Facilitate strategic projects, including but not limited to:
- Set the direction and tone for the project team
- Coordinate activities across project objectives
- Identify and activate next steps for continued project execution
- Motivate project team members
- Use development processes and methodologies to achieve project goals
- Facilitate project team meetings and executive sponsor meetings
- Coach and advise project team members for conflict resolution, strategic planning, and/or development processes
Track and monitor strategic projects, including but not limited to:
- Collect key data to support projects
- Track and monitor project plan status and achievement of project milestones
- Regularly review project issues, determine risks, and escalate to stakeholders for resolution
- Monitor resource allocation and dependencies
- Handling follow-up for and inquiries from project team stakeholders
- Monitor project team functioning and dynamics; address issues and/or escalate to Senior Director
Analyze, report on, and control strategic projects, including but not limited to:
- Document project success criteria and regularly assess project progress against that criteria
- Document predetermined stage gate criteria, ensure an evaluation and measurement plan is in place, and facilitate assessment of data against that criteria
- Identify, document and share project status updates
- Document and distribute key decisions made by project leadership
- Ensure project deliverables are achieved within budget, scope, quality, schedule, and design constraints
- Secure acceptance and approval of deliverables from project stakeholders
- Support management of full operating plan portfolio including establishment of consistent governance and approach; project identification, prioritization and sequencing; and organizational communication
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience managing projects is required
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience managing a portfolio of projects is required
- 3-5 years of experience working with all levels of the organization, including senior executives, senior leaders, and staff teams is preferred
- Previous work experience in external or internal consulting, or a similar role, is preferred
- Demonstrated excellent analytical, planning, problem solving, and organizational skills are required
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills including demonstrated presentation, coaching, and facilitation skills are required
- Demonstrated experience in standard Project Management methodology associated with certifying agencies is required, certification preferred
- Demonstrated experience with independent decision-making, good judgment and ability to execute multiple assignments at any given time is required
- Demonstrated ability achieving consensus amongst a group, and resolving conflict effectively
- Strong Microsoft Office and project management software skills are required
- Knowledge of product development cycles, business processes and the systems that support them - e.g. Marketing, Training, Evaluation, Research, Legal, etc. is preferred
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time is required

Salary: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00
