This position supports the work and mission of the Y through building relationships delivering excellent service. Responsibilities will include driving membership growth, increased retention, annual campaign development as well as the overall marketing and promotion of the YMCA and its services.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Implement membership strategies that support recruitment of new members and retention of existing members
- Provide leadership, growth and direction for the Community Partners Program
- Leads and develops all aspects of membership campaigns
- Develop and manage systems to ensure success of the Annual Campaign
- Develop and administer marketing and promotion strategies for the association
- Manage the YMCA's scholarship program
- Be available, visible and approachable to members. Create and continually monitor systems that encourage member/participant feedback and evaluation
- Serve as volunteer coordinator as well as provide support for special event activities
- Responsible for one weeknight as manager on duty for the facility
- Assume other duties, responsibilities as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills/Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in sales, marketing, and fundraising
- 1-2 years of management and/or supervisory experience
- Ability to take initiative and be able to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time
- Must possess superb verbal and written communication skills; Proven ability to communicate across all mediums and social networks.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work with community leaders and diverse groups of people
- Comfortable with public speaking; willing to regularly serve as a representative of the YMCA.
- Ability to use computers for business applications
