The Recruitment Team seeks a Managing Director of Recruitment (MDR) to lead a team of recruiters, who will find and cultivate talented leaders to join TFA. The MDR will set vision and direction for their cohort, as they work to set and achieve end-of-year targets for recruitment at various campuses or within a professional setting. Moreover, the MDR will set the strategy for this portfolio as part of the broader vision established by the Vice President of Recruitment. They will be responsible for coaching their cohort of recruiters to headhunt top, diverse prospects, and execute meetings, events and other programming that inspires, informs and deepens prospects’ commitment to join Teach For America. Finally, the MDR will ensure that all of these activities add up to a strategic, personalized, and compelling arc of experiences for prospects, that spans from initial outreach all the way through interview completion, confirmation, and ultimately joining their fellow corps members at regional induction.
The ideal candidate possesses strong vision-setting. They are strong coaches who can build relationships internally and externally, and can communicate effectively through multiple methods and channels. They enjoy solving complex problems, and can weigh competing interests and needs to make pivotal and impactful decisions.
