Full-time

NPR is looking for a new Reporter/Host to join Planet Money, one of the best and most popular podcasts around. We’re a highly collaborative, tight-knight team based in New York City looking for reporters who can deliver something insightful to say about economics or the news, with humor, clarity, and surprise on a regular basis, sometimes under tight deadlines. It’s not easy, but it is fun.

We want someone excited to tell stories that make complicated ideas simple, make dull reports exciting, and make millions of listeners feel a sense of wonder at this crazy, confusing, terrifying thing swirling all around us that we call the economy.

If this is you, here’s what to do: Write us a short cover letter to let us know your taste and how you think Planet Money should change. Be critical. We can take it. We relish it. Include links to previous narrative work or anything showing your subject-matter expertise.
