The Regional finance Manager provides highly specialized business modeling and finance/accounting-related services to the Latin America Region.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Regional Finance Manager provides sophisticated strategic and analytical frameworks to design, implement and maintain models that create further efficiencies in data management and decision-making. S/he also supports the Latin America Finance and Operations Director by providing highly specialized services in one or more of the following functions: financial analysis and reporting; financial management; regional budget coordination, management controls and reporting; or similar financial activities for the Latin America Region. S/he has a high level of expertise in financial modeling and Excel. The position administers and maintains finance/planning activities in accordance with TNC policies and procedures and best practices in financial/organizational management. The Regional Finance Manager provides assistance and training/coaching to all levels of personnel in their specialty area. S/he responds to complex employee/management questions and problems based on advanced knowledge of the subject area.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

  • Designs and leads the development, implementation and maintenance of models to enhance data management and decision-making.
  • Manages ad-hoc projects and prepare analysis to address key financial issues.
  • Leads financial processes such as budgeting, forecasting, controlling and reporting.
  • Works toward meeting the strategic priorities of the program by developing and coordinating tactics for approved plans and completing day-to-day tasks. 
  • Coordinates projects.
  • Ensures programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.
  • Reinforces consistency in the organization's policies and procedures and provides support related to relevant field.  
  • May participate in complex negotiations.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 4 years' related experience or equivalent combination.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience developing and implementing complex projects and strategic initiatives in an unstructured environment.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex data management solutions in an unstructured environment.
  • Experience in financial analytics.
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills. 
  • Experience in manipulating, analyzing and interpreting data.  Advanced expertise in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with relational databases.
  • Experience using accounting and financial reporting systems.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish or Portuguese to support global operations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated. 
  • Non-profit accounting experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of current trends in specific field.
  • MBA, CPA and/or CIA may be preferred.
