The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) currently uses Salesforce as the CRM for the Patient Access and Advancement teams. We want a technologist with a passion for excellence who thrives in a fast-paced, high energy environment. As a member of the IT team you will work on Salesforce.org solutions that bring efficiency, and an improved user experience to our organization. As a key member of the IT team, you will be responsible for gathering technical requirements, building solutions, testing, training, support, and overall improvement of the Salesforce platform. To accomplish this, you will partner closely with IT, Patient Access and the Advancement Teams to understand process needs and provide automated solutions. This position is ideally suited for a certified Salesforce Developer who will work with our internal Salesforce team, as well as partner with vendors and Salesforce.org as needed, to ensure that the end-user solutions are fully tested, of high quality, and in accordance with LLS business requirements prior to delivery.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Experience leading technical requirements gathering and building solutions from those requirements
  • Experience with web application development
  • A deep understanding of multiple environments, patterns and languages, especially including XML, HTML, Python, Ruby, Node, SQL, JavaScript, JSON, and CSS
  • Comfortable with a variety of development tools, including Force.com IDE, Illuminated Cloud, Ant migration tool, and others
  • Technical writing and documentation experience a plus
  • Experience with the NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) a plus
  • Ability to solve complex problems and develop innovative solutions related to the CRM platforms utilized by the business segments supported
  • May co-develop user stories for the development of additional CRM system functionality
  • Work with BAs, product owners, and IT
  • Adapt to departmental plans and priorities to address business and operational challenges
  • Demonstrate ability to remain calm when troubleshooting user issues
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate complex information effectively to people who do not have computer knowledge and to answer questions as they arise, giving clear instructions
  • Knowledge of Agile development practices, particularly scrum and sprint-based delivery
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field of study; or equivalent education, training & experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I and Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder
  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II is a plus
  • NPSP certification (Salesforce Certified Nonprofit Cloud Consultant) is a plus
  • 2+ years of experience with Visualforce and APEX development
  • Experience in Lightning UI and Lightning development
  • Well-versed in Flow Builder and Process Builder
  • Must have skills in migration tools, SOQL, web services and Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP, Bulk, Streaming API, etc.)

Physical Demands & Work Environment:

  • Must be able and willing to assume occasional on-call assignments related to off-hours system rollout work
  • Occasional travel to Chapters and events
