YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is looking for a cause-driven Associate Exec to join the Northpark Y.

OVERVIEW

The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is a 14 branch $27M YNAN association that is well respected in the community and primed for continued growth.  The Northpark YMCA is seeking a relationship builder to provide leadership to the development and successful operations of the following program areas: membership, health and wellness, youth & adult sports, aquatics, child watch, youth zone, and/or other programs.  As an exempt leader, the Northpark Associate Executive Director will run operations for a branch with 2,100 membership units serving more than 8,700 members and more than 5,000 program participants annually.  The ideal candidate for this branch will have a strong background in health and wellness.

The Associate Executive Director will oversee day-to-day branch operations, special events, the community campaign portion of the annual campaign and serve as a liaison to the branch board of directors.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • To provide direct leadership to the assigned departments of the branch’s where the associate executive will work.  Provide staff with the tools and direction they need to assist in reaching the branch's goals in new member acquisition, member retention, and program development.
  • Establish goals around membership retention and program development that correspond with Association goals and are in tune with the community climate.
  • Develop and monitor with department staff budgets that are aggressive yet realistic allowing the YMCA to serve the community in the largest possible way.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership throughout the branch ensuring all member, volunteer, and staff needs are being met and that the YMCA's assets are protected and in good working order at all times.
  • Give leadership to branch board committees as assigned by branch leader.
  • Provide strong recruitment, development, and succession planning processes to insure the hiring, professional development and retention of high quality staff.
  • Ensures that all the policies of the organization are implemented, including Financial, Human Resources, and Program Policies.
  • Ensures that department directors maintain current certifications, training and performance evaluations for staff.
  • Works with department directors to develop annual performance goals and objectives in line with approved department budgets.
  • Leads special events and community campaign.  Participates on Association Services task forces, service delivery teams or other committees as requested.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Four or more years of program management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other nonprofit agency.
  • Ability to direct programs through supervision of volunteers and staff, development and monitoring of budgets, marketing and public relations, program development and fund-raising.
  • Prefer knowledge of and previous experience with, diverse populations.
  • Proven track record of developing authentic and deepened relationships with others.
  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
  • YMCA Team Leader or Multi-team/Branch Leader certification preferred.
  • ASHI CPR Pro and First Aid certifications will be required.
