Branch YMCA has an immediate opening for a Youth & Family Program Director. Reporting to the Executive Director, the ideal candidate has a passion for impacting the lives of local youth and teens. A successful director will be a detail-oriented, effective listener, strong team builder and have a passion for serving others.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop, implement, and promote dynamic quality new programs and expand current programs to support youth and family engagement. Continue program growth and retention in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
- Oversee the hiring, training, and supervision of part-time Youth and Family, and Child Watch Staff.
- Make connections with members and guests and assist with inquiries.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with community organizations.
- Develop and monitor department budget to meet fiscal objectives.
- Participate as an active member of the branch management team.
- Assist in YMCA fundraising activities and special events where applicable.
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. A combination of equivalent work experience, education and training may be considered.
Skills/Experience:
- Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
- Two to three years of related experience; preferably within the YMCA.
- Previous experience building a team, running programs, and supervising others is preferred.
- Experience in, or ability to, expertly relate to diverse groups of people regardless of age, race, economic status, religion, or cultural differences.
