Works in partnership with one of four centers of excellence to create and manage digital experiences and functionality for all enterprise programs and needs.  Manages the content, offers, and overall presentation of the web and mobile app channels for ASI.  Manages multiple projects, including ASI’s web content, production projects, and digital assets, establishing processes and workflows for content entry and publishing.  Serves as a team member in formulating business objectives and strategies to meet business stakeholder needs.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Understands the commercial marketing, content opportunities, and strategy across AARP-branded digital web and mobile app channels.
  • Performs editorial reviews of existing ASI web content and creates new content, as needed in partnership with business stakeholders and agency partners.
  • Develops and maintains content calendars, standards, and procedures for content development, including editing and approvals.  Manages and optimizes the workflow process to ensure efficiency, timely content, and offer publishing across all digital channels.  Works with various ASI departments and staff to obtain approval of content and pages prior to publication.
  • Serves as an integral member of the team responsible for publishing on ASI websites and web pages.
  • Produces web pages and content, as needed to meet deadlines and ensures that all material is current, accurate, and complete.  Maintains corporate web design standards.  Works effectively with internal stakeholders and providers to accomplish the above.
  • Serves as a critical liaison between the department and other business stakeholders that have content and offer publishing needs.  Partners with the ASI lines of business teams to understand and reflect the unique requirements and strategies of each product line.
  • Analyzes and understands performance of content and offers across the digital ecosystem.  Seeks to continually improve the presentation of digital experiences through data-driven analysis, using testing and optimization tools.
  • Prepares and delivers presentations, summaries, reports, and graphics to internal clients.  Provides data and analysis to ensure efficient and effective web marketing and communications internally and externally.
  • Manages time and prioritizes projects to meet all production deadlines. 
  • Assists with various other projects, as required.
  • Partners with the B2B digital strategy team and the appropriate team member/colleague to ensure coordination of content across digital and marketing communications.
  • Partners with the appropriate group/department to evolve communications, measurement, and reporting tools that support ASI product lines and business development teams.
Educational Background: 
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree required and 5+ years of experience in marketing and communications required. 
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated experience in content management, digital, and social marketing, including SEO desired. 
  • Experience with B2C and B2B business models preferred. 
  • Client service and matrix management experience desired.
  • Consensus builder -- proven ability to work in a matrix organization and to gain internal respect with superiors, peers, and subordinates.
  • Proven critical thinking and analytical skills to drive successful digital experiences.
  • Must possess excellent written, visual, and communication skills.
  • Tenacious, results-oriented mindset.
