Richard E. Lindner YMCA is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated leader to take the reins of its growing gymnastics program.

The Program Director - Gymnastics is responsible for leading gymnastics programming efforts at their branch, including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, staffing, controlling & evaluating the programs in accordance with the purpose & philosophies of the branch and Association.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit, hire, supervise and evaluate all personnel related to gymnastics & respective program assignments.
  • Oversee and/or coordinate activities for branch volunteers.
  • Coordinate facility scheduling, communications and program planning.
  • Develop and administer the annual branch budget of assigned program areas and exercise necessary controls to assure operations are within approved budget.
  • Provide data and reports as requested for assigned programs.
  • Develop, produce and distribute program information necessary to promote assigned programs in accordance with branch marketing plans.
  • Participate in Association committees and meetings as assigned.

Skills/Experience: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Recreation Management or equivalent preferred.
  • One or more years experience in supervision & coordination of gymnastics programming.
  • Must be able to delegate appropriate responsibilities to staff in order to accomplish the necessary duties.
  • Incumbent must be able to supervise, direct and guide all operations in accordance with the Association’s long- and short-range goals.
  • Must be personable and demonstrate integrity and honesty. Must be a team player, able to effectively relate to all levels of staff and management.
  • Proficient in budgeting, fiscal management, fundraising, staff supervision, volunteer development and program development.
  • Must possess excellent organizational skills and written/oral communication skills.
  • Related certifications apply.
