The Talent Acquisition Assistant provides administrative support at the direction of the Talent Acquisition team. The Talent Assistant will have frequent interaction with staff throughout the Conservancy and with external vendors. They will use available systems and resources to track data and determine the return on investment. They will support TNC’s commitment to diversity and inclusion by assisting hiring teams with the Gender/Equity Recruiting Practices and outreach to diverse communities. The Assistant will support the Talent Acquisition team with various projects and ad hoc assignments.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Talent Acquisition Assistant provides support through external advertising, background screening, and operational assistance. They will provide support to the team by placing external ads on a variety of sites, including diverse and inclusive sites. The Talent Acquisition Assistant will track the ROI of these sites, record billing information, and subject a quarterly billback to the finance department. They will provide other staff with information they will need to make decisions and solve problems. This position will be involved in our employer engagement strategy, including social media channels.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND SCOPE 

  • Job approvals and place external job advertisements on various sites daily.
  • Tracks and monitors open positions to provide recruiting resources to hiring teams, specifically related to the Gender/Equity Recruiting Practices, outreach to diverse communities, and utilizing external Outreach Management Tool.
  • Supports the Talent Acquisition team’s employer engagement strategy, through working with various vendors across numerous channels.
  • Conducts various audits, including outreach tracker, background screening, and open jobs.
  • Support various inboxes, responds to moderately complex employee/applicant questions related to the recruiting process.
  • Identify and implement operations efficiencies.
Educational Background: 
Associate’s degree, HR professional certification or 2 years HR-related experience, or equivalent combination.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Experience maintaining files, processing paperwork, data entry or related. 
  • Experience responding to employee or customer inquiries.
  • Experience working with MS Office software and database software.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Multi-lingual skills and multi-cultural or cross-cultural experience appreciated.
  • Knowledge of social media platforms as used in recruiting: LinkedIn, Glassdoor, Indeed, Facebook, and Twitter.
  • Solid knowledge of word processing, database management, and spreadsheet software, with ability to construct and produce reports.
  • Basic understanding of fundamental HR concepts, processes, and services.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • May require fluency in foreign language(s) to support global operations. 
Compensation/Benefits: 

The salary for this position is $45,000.
