Areas of Responsibility:
- Advocate the Vision of the YMCA and be the Heart and Soul of the Operation: Actively interact and communicate with YMCA members, donors, and staff and volunteers and be seen as an active and integral member of the community. Act as an ambassador for the mission, cause and vision for the YMCA within the community and be seen and respected as a leader, with the ability to develop and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, while always upholding the highest standards of the values of the YMCA’s heritage.

- Develop and Implement a Strategic Plan: Have the ability to work effectively with volunteers and key staff to create and develop a strategic roadmap that addresses the needs of this YMCA with defined organizational strategies. Lead staff in the development and implementation of goals through an annual operating plan. Lead volunteers in aligning committees and their charts of work to support the strategies and goals of the association.

- Nurture a Mission-Driven Culture: Champion a culture of inclusion, integrity, character and life-long learning within the Y organization that reinforces, encourages, and promotes values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. - Drive Operating Performance: Engage the board and staff to develop an annual tactical plan for achieving key YMCA goals and objectives. Remain fully informed of all operational issues, maximize operating efficiency and have the capacity to quickly address any issues that might arise as well as forecast future needs. Ensure responsiveness to rapidly changing competitive landscape. Manage and direct the Association’s operations and activities.

- Fiscal Management: Ensuring the Association’s financial resources are properly managed and report the organization’s financial position. Use high level of financial analysis to forecast financial trends, growth and stability while consistently leading organization to balance or surplus operations by growing earned revenue and contributions and controlling costs. Empower and guide staff leaders to lead their departments to successful financial operation and maintain association commitment to funding youth and community outreach services. Develop and implement stewardship strategies.

Educational Background:
Accredited 4-year college degree (required; non-negotiable).
Skills/Experience:
- YMCA Organizational Leader Certification (Candidates not already in possession of this certification have up to three years to obtain via YMCA of the USA).
- Related graduate degree preferred.

Salary Range: Commensurate with accomplishments and experience
