As the Director of Donor Services & Research, you would report to the VP of Development. This very important role provides ongoing administrative support for all areas that fall under the Fund Development Office by managing and creating systems and reports that make the fundraising database a dynamic tool for Development. You will assist in the management of annual fund and capital campaign data; gift and pledge entry; biographical information management; creating and maintaining fundraising reports; prospect list management. In addition this individual will provide research for individual donors, foundations and corporations. This individual will be responsible for assisting in all development activities, database management, billing and development activities. This includes creating, organizing, and maintaining fundraising records; writing and handling correspondence. The person in this position handles sensitive and confidential information, requiring the utmost discretion and absolute attention to detail and accuracy.
- Maintain the confidentiality and accuracy of all fundraising records.
- Create and maintain accurate coding tables, data entry standards and gift processing procedures.
- Serve as lead association resource to 22 branch campaign managers with regard to fundraising data management and systems.
- Serve as lead staff for the annual fund Y-work group.
- Work with Information Technology department to make sure that all reports accurately reflect current fundraising efforts.
- Responsible for Association gift and biographical data entry and gift acknowledgement.
- Manage pledge payment schedules and process payments.
- Responsible for Association prospect list management.
- Create and produce reports to serve as analytical fundraising tools as needed for projects and national reports.
- Research new prospects both individuals and organizations.
- Produce weekly, monthly and annual reports showing annual goal and multi-year historical trends.
- Perform ongoing database cleanup for biographical data and work with branches as needed.
- Assist Development team with special events, assist with the production of materials for the Development department.
- 1 to 2 years experience in development, with gift entry, acknowledgement process and report writing.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook, Raiser's Edge or Donor Management Software preferred.
- Exceptional organization skills and outstanding writing skills.
- Ability to deal with confidential information with maturity and discretion.
- Proactive member services and the ability to deal with a variety of members, staff and volunteers through written and verbal communication.
- Basic understanding of accounts and budgeting.
- Able to prioritize workload and take direction from multiple sources.
- Take initiative and work independently within a team.
Salary: $44,000.00 - $51,000.00
