The YMCA of Greater Williamson County is seeking an experienced and motivated individual to join our team of professionals as a full-time District wide Sr. Program Director for the Licensed Childcare Afterschool programs in Round Rock, TX. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County Licensed Childcare Department has an annual budget of over $11 million and serves approximately 5,000 children per day in 60+ school-based sites throughout 5 school districts. The Licensed Childcare Department continues to be one of the fastest growing counties in the country. The YMCA of Greater Williamson County Licensed Child Care programs such as Afterschool, Day Camp and the Child Development Center are growing right along with it making the YMCA the largest provider of childcare in our community.
The Sr. Program Director will be responsible for the successful management and growth of Enrichment Programs during the school year and Summer Day Camps during the summer under the Licensed Child Care Department.
Responsibilities include staffing, licensing, accreditation, training/hiring, curriculum implementation, and marketing of school age summer day camp and enrichment programs. This position will provide leadership to the growth of current enrichment programs and expansion to potentially new enrichment sites.
**Success in this position requires the ability to lead staff and volunteers in areas of program development. This position requires someone who is highly motivated, organized, personable and enthusiastic. This position requires a thorough understanding of Texas Department of Family & Protective Services (TDFPS) state standards. Incumbent must have the ability and skills needed to administer the operation policies and procedures of the state and the YMCA. The incumbent must have skills in planning, organizing, training, relationship building, and problem solving and managing multiple priorities.
- Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and supervising multiple enrichment programs, ensuring appropriate staffing levels for the enrichment programs while meeting enrollment and revenue goals.
- This position reports to the LCC Executive Director and will assist with registration, desk operations and budget and cost controls.
- The successful candidate will work to create an effective communication process between the schools districts and the YMCA related to both enrichment and camp programming.
- Prefer at least 5 years’ experience in a managerial/supervisory role in a childcare program; preferably an Afterschool program.
- Strong human relation skills and written/verbal communication skills are required.
- This position requires the ability to plan, develop, organize, manage and administer tasks.
- Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
- Candidates must meet Child Care Director Standards set by both YMCA Licensed Child Care and the Texas Department of Family & Protective Services. Candidate must be able to hold a TDFS Program Director license within 60 days of hire.
- Must be able to pass reference checks, criminal history check, sex offender registry, and FBI fingerprint background check.
Salary: $41,328.00 - $44,425.00
