Provide operational guidance and strategic support within the centralized Out of School Time, including Early Care, Before/After School and Day Camp. Develop and execute association wide program strategy to align with our strategic initiatives. Provide leadership in the area of risk focused on minimizing loss and creating a culture of safety first. Implement a collaboration strategy with local school districts, which supports the growth and enhancement of services across the city.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop association wide program strategy focused on quality and growth.
- Manage new initiatives and pilot programs.
- Develop operational standards for all programs and ensure compliance.
- Assess staff and program needs to identify developmental gaps and collaborate with the leadership development team to close those gaps.
- Coordinate and manage collaborative relationships and community partnerships.
- Represent the Y at the local, state and national level as appropriate.
- Provide leadership and training on the delivery and execution of programs.
- Ensure program delivery focused on improving academic performance, eliminating drowning, reducing chronic disease and increasing social equity.
- Assist with overall program hiring and marketing strategies.
- Serve on the association strategic initiatives committee.
- Design a centralized staff structure focused on community development.
- Provide direction and oversight of all financial operations.
- Develop positive working relationships with center staff and board.
- Encourage high quality member engagement and program delivery strategies, which align with our association mission, goals and initiatives.
- Ensure the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds and equipment.
- Develop positive working relationships with Superintendents and other school district staff.
- Reports suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
- Follows mandated abuse and incident reporting requirements.
Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree in human services, social services, education, business or equivalent.
Skills/Experience:
- Ten or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency.
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of center budget, marketing and public relations, and program development.
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders.
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations.
- YMCA Multi-Team or Center Leader certification preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certifications required.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $120,000.00 - $140,000.00
