SACC Site Supervisor/Camp Specialist

Enthusiastically represents the YMCA by displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the role through the four character values of caring, honest respect & responsibility.  Lead SACC & Summer Camp part-time staff and work as a team role-model. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manages, directs and coordinates a before and afterschool school age childcare program with 60+ children.
  • Trains, develops, and directs personnel and volunteers as needed.
  • Assures compliance with NJ OOL standards.
  • Develops and implements innovative programming both during the school year and summer camp months.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information.
  • Assists in Kids Day Out program during the school year.
  • Supervises teacher assistants in school age care program and counselors at Camp Topanemus
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field
Skills/Experience: 
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience working with and leading youth programs
  • A minimum of 1 year supervisory experience
  • Has a proactive, hands-on and professional work ethic
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word , Publisher and Excel
  • Adult and child CPR, First Aid, and AED certification within 30 days of hire
  • Must have car and a valid driver’s license
Compensation/Benefits: 

Hourly: $20.00
