Under the direct supervision of the Associate Executive Director, the Senior Membership Director is responsible for developing membership and other program revenue, which will enable the center to advance their mission and strategic center plan.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsibilities include but are not limited to meeting and/or exceeding revenue goals for all membership categories, including corporate membership accounts.
- The Membership Director will also work closely with the Associate Executive Director, Member Involvement Team in member retention and with the Director of Administrative Services and related staff to ensure the center is providing timely, efficient and consistent service.
- The Senior Membership Director will spend approximately 60% in related administrative functions and 40% in direct sales. Supervision includes the member services team and Play and Learn Center.
Educational Background:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related is required, and/or equivalent experience.
Skills/Experience:
- Must have a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in sales, 1-2 years in sales development (developing a strategic sales plan) and a proven track record of taking initiative and innovative approaches to surpass challenging performance goals.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and credibility quickly, as well as, 2-4 years experience leading a sales team producing desired results.
- Excellent presentation, writing and negotiation skills are essential to success in this position.
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to demonstrate flexibility in a rapidly changing, fast-paced and often ambiguous work environment.
- Position requires a varied work schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Candidate must be knowledgeable and keep current of center program offerings and the scope of options available to members (including the membership pricing structure).
- The Senior Membership Director is responsible for the staff and children in the Play and Learn Center, ensuring a healthy, safe and loving environment.
- The Senior Membership Director demonstrates caring, honesty, respect and responsibility while providing for children’s social, physical, spiritual and mental wellbeing and interacting positively with parents to develop a trusting relationship.
Compensation/Benefits:
Salary: $44,069.00 - $55,086.00
