The Wounded Warrior Project (WWP) HRIS Analyst supports and maintains the human resources information system (Workday), serves as a technical and functional point-of-contact, ensures data integrity, tests system changes, and prepares reports.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Assist with Workday human resources information system (HRIS) ongoing life cycle development program.
  • Maintain HRMS system tables. Maintain data integrity in HRIS. Run queries and analyze data to ensure accuracy. Maintain database of employee data.
  • Document processes and results. Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and maintain currency and accuracy of SOPs.
  • Provide support for HRIS by researching and resolving issues, problems, unexpected results, or process flaws.
  • Identify new and innovative methods and processes to solve problems.
  • Assess processes and leverage Workday functionality to improve and gain efficiencies.
  • Perform scheduled activities; recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements. Assist with review, testing, and implementation of HRIS system upgrades, new functionality, and fixes or patches.
  • Collaborate with functional and technical staff. Work with key internal and external parties, demonstrating an awareness of time-sensitive issues, and identifying the goals and value of commitments and prioritizing accordingly.
  • Write, maintain, and support reports and queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assist with development of standard reports for ongoing HR needs and requirements.
  • Assist with annual internal and external processes and reporting, e.g., benefits open enrollment, testing processes and compliance with government regulations.
  • Recommend process and service improvements, innovative solutions, and changes to improve HRIS customer service.
  • Attend and participate in internal and external meetings as appropriate.
  • Other related duties as assigned.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or relevant field. Equivalent combination of applicable education, training, certification, or experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of human resources information systems.
  • Demonstrated understanding of HRIS database design, structure, functions, and processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into systematic processes.
  • Good project management skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively and efficiently manage projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize critical thinking skills and analytical skills in problem solving.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency using Microsoft Office, especially Excel with expertise in data manipulation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate information effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to interact with diverse team members and build effective working relationships with team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities and complete assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, demanding working environment.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • Four years of experience working with human resources information systems.

Preferences

  • Three years of experience with Workday.
  • Three years of experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, Absence Management, or Talent Management.
  • One year of experience with HRIS integration.

Certifications & Licensure

  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred
  • Project management certification or currently pursuing project management certification, e.g., Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) preferred.
