Teach For America – Las Vegas Valley seeks an Associate, Program Communications and Operations to provide project management and logistical support for the Program Continuum team. This role will also involve managing our social media, ongoing constituent communication, and AMEX budget reports. This role will report directly to the Director, Program Design. This position offers a unique opportunity for an individual who enjoys cultivating relationships and influencing others by sharing information. An individual would be especially motivated in this role if they are energized by communicating large amounts of information, creating organizational and tracking systems, project management, and building and leveraging relationships to drive actions of others.

Areas of Responsibility: 

The Associate, Program Communications and Operations will:

  • Create high-level operations and logistics planning for CM and alumni-facing events and professional development sessions that lead to exceptional CM, alumni, and staff culture as defined by our EOY FY19 goals
  • Create and send consistent alumni, corps member, and external communications related to regional programming, events, and expectations
  • Create and manage Program Design dashboard and corps member knowledge hub
  • Track corps member attendance and professional development hours for all programming and send report to the Manager, Onboarding, the Director, Program Design, the Managing Director, Teacher Leadership Development, and the Manager, Alumni Leadership one week after each event to ensure proper tracking for Program Tracker, AmeriCorps, regional grants and CM Retention
  • Manage the CM and Alumni Facebook page, and monitor postings and update members monthly
  • Create and send consistent staff communications related to Program Continuum programming, Alumni programming, and community engagement to ensure successful and clear communication
  • AmEx management and communication for Program Continuum staff with AmEx expense accounts to ensure compliance with national accountability measures
  • Manage Program Design purchasing and procurement as a designated Team Buyer
  • Manage MTLD Cohort Budgets to ensure compliance with regional accountability measures
  • Attend and participate in all-staff team meetings and retreats, in addition to joining a sub-committee on the broader team
  • Hold a clear personal vision for impact and how it relates to your goals
Skills/Experience: 
  • Teach For America alum strongly preferred
  • 1-3 years professional work experience managing projects to reach and exceed ambitious goals
