Reporting to the VP, Human Resources, the National Audubon Society is seeking an experienced, highly-motivated and creative Director, Talent Acquisition who has a solid foundation in all aspects of Talent Acquisition. The Director, Talent Acquisition will be responsible for leading all facets of full-cycle recruiting, while managing an active requisition load and leading the talent acquisition team. The Director, Talent Acquisition will develop specific recruiting strategies for each client group and execute on that strategy by utilizing knowledge of talent pools and sourcing strategies to generate a robust pipeline of qualified candidates.
The Director will also drive key Talent Acquisition related initiatives to the leadership team and employees throughout the Audubon Network offices, including identify internal high-potential talent for the purposes of succession planning.
- Lead the talent acquisition function including: evaluating and drafting job descriptions, active and passive recruiting (traditional sourcing and social media), building a strong pipeline of talent
- Direct team of Talent Acquisition professionals responsible for sourcing, screening, and leading the selection process of best-in-class talentPartner directly with HR business partners, program leaders, state directors and managers to source, screen, and acquire the best talent in the States where the National Audubon maintains a presence Develop and implement an internal job posting process that incorporates fairness to managers and employee
- Perform reference checks, conduct internal equity analysis, extend offers, and complete all required forms and documentation; coordinate and attend job fairs
- Overseeing all HR Communications on the Perch, partner with communications team to review and manage Careers page as needed
- Identify opportunities for increased effectiveness of current and diversity outreach recruiting programs
- Conduct recruiting management new hire surveys to determine effectiveness of recruiting processes for managers and candidates
- Conduct research to determine the effectiveness of HR programs and policies. Recommend improvement to policies, programs, and procedures to improve human resources operations
- Keep abreast of current EEO guidelines, human resources legislation and regulations, as well as changes in the human resources field
- Use HRIS and applicant tracking system (i.e., iCIMS) and make recommendations for enhancements and process improvements. Support performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance and equity within organization
- Assist with other HR-related tasks as assigned
- Minimum of 10 years experience in a talent acquisition role with demonstrated experience recruiting exempt and non-exempt employees
- Experience managing talent acquisition managers
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; knowledge of HRIS and applicant tracking systems preferred. iCims experience is highly preferred
- Firm understanding of human resources policies and procedures
