This full time position serves as a member of the Chapter’s program management team and is responsible for oversight and expansion of the Chapter’s clinical engagement initiatives, building strategy for HEALTH CARE Systems and LONG TERM CARE and Community Based Providers for increased access to quality care and diagnosis. This position reports to the Director of Programs & Services and is based in Philadelphia, PA with travel required throughout the Delaware Valley tri-state region.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Achieve the Alzheimer's Association's objectives to improve ADRD diagnosis, disclosure, and care, through a consultative and collaborative approach to Health Systems that increases the uptake of effective clinical practices.
- Develop and cultivate a portfolio of Health Systems partnerships, with an emphasis on systems with the greatest potential to impact the Association's Health Systems goals.
- Cultivate productive relationships with key decision makers and champions in health systems.
- Assess a health system’s readiness, capacity, needs, and interests and uses this assessment to guide products and solutions to offer.
- Provide training and technical support to health systems and key members of their staff, including clinicians, on the implementation of clinical practice guidelines for timely and accurate ADRD detection, diagnosis, disclosure, and care.
- Ensure accurate assessment of a health system’s baseline status and tracking of progress on ADRD-related quality measures.
- Work with other Alzheimer’s Association staff and with health systems on evaluation of systems-based programs and products for ADRD clinical practice improvement.
- Establish relationships with long term care settings for adoption of person centered dementia care practice recommendations
- Manage all aspects of the Chapter’s Early Stage Advisory Group
- Provide recommendations and support for persons with early stage to speak at chapter events, including Promise Garden Ceremony, Reason to Hope, early stage forums
- Work in conjunction with the Manager Print & Digital Publications to market early stage services, care consultation and social engagement programs to referral outlets
- Oversee the Health Care Partnership program to ensure connections to long term care providers and increase funding streams including potential conference sponsorships.
- Follow all guidelines as determined by the Portfolio of Common Programs
- Train staff, volunteers and professional caregivers on early stage dementia issues as needed
- Participate actively in staff, program and quarterly Associate Director meetings
- Attend Chapter events as requested
- Support industry related teams for Walk to End Alzheimer’s to increase revenue, walkers and overall goals
- All other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Master’s degree in health care, health administration, Social Services or public health required.
Skills/Experience:
- Demonstrates 2 or more years of experience working for or with health systems, or other health care industry experience.
- Experience in training, quality improvement facilitation, or technical assistance preferred.
- Demonstrates 2 or more years of experience cultivating productive working relationships with decision-makers in client or partner organizations. Experience in account management, consultative sales, or preferred.
- Understands relevant aspects of health systems operations, such as quality improvement, person-centered care, access to care, and payment and policy issues
- Cultivation of productive working relationships with decision-makers in health care organizations

- Excellent written and oral communication

- Excellent judgment with ability to work in a changing environment.
- A valid driver’s license, access to a reliable personal vehicle and proof of insurance
- Ability to travel as needed
