The Associate Executive Director of Youth Development will oversee Youth & Family Programming inside of the NW District and additional areas as assigned, which may include membership, programs, facilities, and/or other duties as assigned. Serves in a branch leadership role when called upon to do so in the absence of the District Executive. Works independently under general direction and is expected to determine how to accomplish tasks.
This position will office at the Bethany YMCA and is a full time, salary/exempt position.
- Recruits, trains, and develops staff
- Identifies and resolves problems to ensure member and participant satisfaction
- Supervises all Youth & Family staff to ensure proper implementation of front desk procedures
- Responsible for increasing Before & After School and Day Camp Participation
- Identify, create, and promote new Youth & Family Programs at the YMCA
- Represents the YMCA at community events including school fairs, business fairs, and other special events promoting the YMCA
- Collaborates with other key staff to further improve the YMCA
- Performs all Youth & Family functions in the absence of staff
PRINCIPLE ASSOCIATE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ACTIVITIES:
The Associate Executive Director component of this position requires that the incumbent serve in an elevated position within the branch and assist the Executive Director in leading the branch.
- Provide support to both the Annual Community Support and United Way Staff Campaigns under the leadership of the District Executive Director.
- Participate in community events, networks, and activities as assigned
- Assist District Executive Director in development of annual branch budget.
- Assist District Executive Director in recruitment of volunteers for Branch Council and Campaign.
- Lead branch staff recognition and appreciation efforts.
- Serve as branch point person when District Executive Director is unavailable.
- 3-5 years’ management experience in Youth & Family programming.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Must be certified by the Red Cross in PR/CPR, AED, O2, and First Aid or willing to become certified.
Salary: $42,000.00 - $46,000.00
