The Granite YMCA Allard Center, located in Goffstown, NH is currently seeking an Assistant Gymnastics Director. This is a full-time career level position, working very closely with the Gymnastics Director. The preferred candidate will spend approximately 60% of their time teaching, with the balance of their time devoted to day-to-day operations, and to building a top-notch team of individuals who are 100% committed to providing outstanding customer service. This is a fun, high energy work environment.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Know and understand YMCA philosophy and program
  • Oversee daily operations of the gymnastics program
  • Communicate information correctly and professionally to parents
  • Assist the Gymnastics Director in the training and managing of instructors and maintaining and building student enrollment
  • Conduct safe classes in a nurturing environment while ensuring that all classes are high energy and fun
  • Develop, implement, and manage operating plans for gymnastics and dance programming
  • Responsible for running summer gymnastics camp by providing leadership, program development and coordination of program
  • Develop and control gymnastics camp budget related to the position
  • Ensure a positive working and program environment emphasizing the YMCA’s areas of focus and character values.
  • Communicate and work with other program and membership directors in order to effectively provide programs and services
  • Oversee growth and development of the dance program
  • Perform all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Gymnastics Director
Skills/Experience: 
  • Proven management/leadership performance and achievement through experience in working with children and parents in related field
  • Strong leader and team builder, while setting the example for all other team members in hard work and providing outstanding customer service
  • Relate well to children, parents, and team members, and have superior communication skills
  • 3 years’ gymnastics coaching/dance instruction required
  • Background in gymnastics preferred
  • Well-organized with foresight and attention to detail
  • Weekday and Weekend Availability
  • Strong ability to market and sell the program at every opportunity

Required Certifications

  • CPR/First Aid certified (or ability to be certified within 90 days of hire)
  • Child Abuse Prevention Training (within 90 days of hire)
Compensation/Benefits: 

$35,000.00 - $40,000.00
