The Director will manage all fitness staff including, adult aerobic, spinning and yoga instructors, personal trainers, cardio floor staff and youth program instructors.  This person will work with staff to develop, organize and implement innovative adult and youth programs. The Director will hire and train all fitness staff and work with them to ensure Y members and program participants are being supported in workout and health goals.  The Director will be responsible for the fitness department budget and payroll as well as assist in the marketing of all programs.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Manage fitness staff and group fitness instructors
  • Develop, organize, and implement innovative adult & youth programs
  • Hiring and training of all fitness staff
  • Oversee fitness department budget and payroll
  • Assist in the marketing of programs
  • Other duties as assigned
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant experience
Skills/Experience: 
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to work with children and adults from all social and economic backgrounds
  • Willingness to respond to member inquires and issues in a timely manner
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Experience with fitness equipment
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00
