Develops, organizes and implements a high quality member-focused YMCA gymnastic, sports, dance and  fine arts programs. 

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Directs and supervise program activities to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives in gymnastics, dance , sports and fine arts and facility birthday parties.
  • Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules and directs staff and volunteers as needed. Reviews and evaluates staff performance. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve goals.
  • Establishes new program activities and expands program within the community in accordance with strategic and operating plans.
  • Assists in the marketing and distribution of program information, newsletters and oversee program registrations.
  • Develop and maintains collaborative relationships with community organizations.
  • Develops and monitors program budget to meet fiscal objectives.
  • Coordinates use of facilities for program activities and events.
  • Assists in YMCA fund raising activities and special events.
  • Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in timely manner.
  • Compiles program statistics. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in program.Salary$45,000.00 - $55,000.00
  • Maintains visual presence with programming to facilitate communication with members, participants
  • Be an intricate member of the leadership team, working towards the overall success of the organization with a goal of increasing membership growth, satisfaction and retention.
  • Monitors and purchases necessary equipment. Ensures that equipment is safe to use at all times.
  • Participation in registrations, open houses, Healthy Kids Day and other YMCA community events.
Educational Background: 
Bachelor's degree in related field and/or equivalent knowledge of supervision.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Three to five years related experience preferred. 
  • Completion of YMCA program-specific certifications.
  • Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
  • Requirements of employment include Completion of Child Abuse Prevention trainings, CPR, First Aid, AED and bloodborne pathogens.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00
