The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is hiring an Executive Director to oversee the Downtown Family YMCA with a budget size of over $3.5 million. This Executive Director will oversee the total operations of the center, including membership, marketing, programs, facilities, volunteer and staff development, board development, financial development, community relations and collaborations with community agencies. The Downtown Family Center’s Capital Development Phase is currently in motion. This individual will work closely with the Major Gifts Officer, Senior Leadership and Operations Team on the Downtown Community Campaign. This will require extensive collaboration skills, managing relationships with various partners, developers & builders of the Downtown Project. Through current and new partnerships the YMCA will continue to collaborate on creating programs and services to best meet the needs of our children, teens, adults, families and seniors of the Pikes Peak Region.
The YMCA of the Pikes Peak Region is going through an exciting period of growth right now and this Y is expected to be the Flagship Center for the association.
- Coordinates the development of the Branch Board and committees. Directs the volunteer activities of the centers
- Directs the financial development activities of the branch
- Represents and promotes the YMCA in the local community and develops positive working relationships with other organizations, businesses, and governmental entities
- Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with community agencies in service delivery area
- Oversees the hiring, training, and supervision of staff
- Develops, manages, and monitors the branch operating budget to meet or exceed budget targets
- Directs strategic planning efforts and develops the annual operating plan of the center
- Develops and directs high quality member engagement strategies and programs which support branch and Association mission, goals, and strategies
- Ensures the safety and maintenance of high quality facilities, grounds, and equipment
- Directs center marketing and communication efforts
- Serves as a member of YMCA management and supports the overall objectives of the YMCA
- Responsible for recruitment, training, and supervision of program volunteers and staff
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Six or more years of management experience, preferably in a YMCA or other not-for-profit agency
- Must have proven success in fundraising (annual and capital preferred)
- Ability to direct total operations through volunteer development, supervision of staff, development and monitoring of branch budget, marketing and public relations, and program development
- Experience in the field of sales, customer relations, marketing, management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders
- Experience in management and development of volunteer involvement; ability to recruit top community leaders
- Prefer knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations
- Ability to establish and maintain collaborations with community organizations
- Demonstrated professionalism in attitude, appearance and teamwork to ensure positive work culture
- YMCA Multi-Team or Branch Leader certification preferred
- ALL YMCA employees must be CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer, First Aid and Oxygen certified (training available upon hiring)
Salary: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00
