The Youth Development Program Manager is responsible for developing, delivering, and administering community and branch based programs for youth including Teen Thrive Programs such as Youth in Government (Model Assembly & Model UN), Achievers, Leaders Club, Y-Start, and targeted services. The incumbent is responsible for recruiting, hiring, supervising, and developing team members and volunteers.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop, deliver and administer community or branch based programs for youth including Teen Thrive Programs: Youth in Government, Achievers, Leaders Club, Y-Start and targeted services.
- Recruit, hire, on-board, train, develop and supervise team members.
- Develop and maintain community partnerships in support of outreach programs for youth.
- Recruit, on-board and engage program volunteers.
- Ensure a high level of customer service for all program participants.
- Prepare and manage the program budget to ensure revenue and program service goals are achieved.
- Perform required administrative duties for the program.
- May write grant proposals.
- Manage the requirements of established grant outcomes and provide required program data for program reports/evaluations if applicable.
Educational Background:
BA/BS degree in related field
Skills/Experience:
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in developing, implementing and evaluating youth development or community outreach programs.
- Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage programs.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Creative thinker with a history of applying innovation in programming.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills and the ability to build community relationships.
- Basic skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Ability to manage programs to a diverse population.
