The Associate Director of Development is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing the Annual Support Campaign, as well as grant submission and management and special events. The Associate Director is also responsible for the revenue-generating activities for the branch such as direct mail, major gifts, events, grants and planned giving and will have the responsibility to oversee processing and tracking gifts, generating acknowledgments, tracking gift information in donor database and assuring the accuracy of information in the donor database. This position will research and identify potential funding sources; prepare strong written proposals, develop effective strategies for resource cultivation, outreach and communication.
- Assist Director of Development to successfully meet all annual fundraising benchmarks laid out in the Strategic Plan and the branch five year plan.
- Assist in the organization and implementation of annual Community Support Campaign, resulting in gifts secured from the surrounding community and YMCA membership base.
- Serve as lead organizer for annual fundraising events; Organize smaller scale events throughout the year.
- Manage major donor and President's Club prospects information and assist in development of cultivation strategies and activities.
- Responsible for grant management: Reporting, proposal submission and management of all current private, corporate and government grants, as well as research and submission for new foundations.
- Increase donor retention through implementation of donor stewardship plan and communication best practices.
- Develop and monitor Special Events budget. Assist Financial Development Director in management of overall fundraising budget.
- Increase member involvement through volunteerism in fundraising, committee work and special events.
- Oversee tracking and data entry for donor information database, acknowledgment and recognition processes.
- Upon successful gift, fulfill institutional donor reporting requirements and coordinate with branch or Association staff for timely donor recognition.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required.
- Uphold YMCA policies for safety, supervision, mandated reporting and risk management.

- 2-5 five fundraising experience; grant writing experience; understanding of database management, gift processing
- Strong written and oral communication skills and organizational skills
- Salary based on experience $45,864 - $51,000.
- Full-time, exempt.
- M-Fri: 8:30am-5:00pm, some evening and weekend events throughout the year.
