This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. This position is responsible for providing leadership in Graphic Design & Videography for the Association, ensuring the overall quality of work.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Create and edit high quality and engaging marketing and communications assets for print, digital and social media in support of all association departments.
- Shoot, create and edit long-form and short-form video content such as: testimonials, interviews, promotional video ads, digital displays and others as needed.
- Brainstorm new ideas and content for videos, social media posts, digital displays, YouTube channels, and other digital video and photo media projects as assigned.
- Ensure all materials adhere to Y USA brand guidelines and help monitor design compliance with guidelines throughout the association.
- Manage relationships and work with printing, mailing and other vendors on projects as needed.
- Serve as photographer for select events and individual projects as needed.
- Assisting the MarComm department in digital asset management, including organizing, categorizing and tagging the department’s digital media.
- Ensure budgets are followed and met on all projects.
- Performs all other duties as assigned
Educational Background:
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Film, Fine Art Design, Marketing, Journalism or related discipline.
Skills/Experience:
- Intermediate-level experience working in professional commercial design and videography, preferably with a nonprofit or membership organization.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating design experience, videography and creative style
- Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, in particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
- Proficiency in Adobe editing software including Premiere Pro and After Effects.
