This is a tremendous opportunity for an experienced CrossFit leader to work for a Cause-Driven organization.  Under the direction of the Director of Branch Operations, the Director of CrossFit develops, manages and delivers the new Crossfit program at the Oscar Lasko YMCA and Childcare Center.

Areas of Responsibility: 
  • Oversees and manages general daily administrative needs and tasks for the CrossFit program including scheduling of programs, scheduling of staff, events, promotion, community events and outreach opportunities.
  • Hires, trains and supervises staff.  Facilitates communication and provides leadership to staff.
  • Coaches multiple classes each week and offer personal training sessions, as needed.  Substitutes for instructors, as needed.
  • Participates in the upkeep of a clean, safe, friendly and well-maintained gym.
  • Manages retail and merchandise inventory including restocking and reordering.
  • Manages operating budget and supports the achievement of branch operating goals.
  • Responds promptly to inquiries regarding the CrossFit program.
  • Executes strategies to ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
  • Ensures that program and Association standards are met and safety procedures are followed.
  • Ensures implementation of high quality programs through innovative program development, evaluations and on going training of staff.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Minimum of two years of CrossFit experience required.
  • CF-L1 or higher level CrossFit certification.
  • NASM, NSCA, ACSM or ACE personal training certification preferred.
  • Ability to direct programs through supervision of staff, required.
  • Preferred knowledge of, and previous experience with, diverse populations, preferred.
  • Experience facilitating group fitness programs.
  • Experience facilitating individual personal training sessions.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Compensation/Benefits: 

Salary: $40,000.00
